Information for Eyeglass Clinics in 2026
Trip dates – We leave on a Saturday and return the following Saturday. See the list of trips. We will fly out of either St Louis or Kansas City and into Veracruz, Mexico.
Passport – You must have a passport to go on any of these mission trips.
Trip cost – The typical cost is $2,000. This is all-inclusive; there are no additional costs. The first payment of $1000 is due 3 months before the trip. The final payment of the remainder is due 1 month before the trip. All monies paid are non-refundable.
Location – We will be staying in the city closest to the clinic site that has a suitable hotel. The actual clinic will be for three consecutive days.
Health Considerations – Vaccinations for Hepatitis A & B and Tetanus are strongly suggested. Take hand sanitizer. Wash your hands often. Ciprofloxacin is suggested. The COVID-19 vaccine is optional.
WiFi will likely be available at night in the hotel. WiFi will not be available during the days at the clinic location.
Telephone – International phone and text packages are available, but not necessary. You will likely only have cell phone coverage while at the hotel. There may not be coverage at the clinic.
Travel – Vision 3:16 owns a van, and it will meet us at the airport in Mexico. We will travel by van for the entire trip.
Hotel – We will be staying in the city closest to the clinic site that has a suitable hotel. Generally, two people per room. You can have a room by yourself for an extra cost.
Meals – Generally, we will eat in local restaurants. Lunch during the clinic days may be provided by the host church.
